Publication

Trendhunter publishes on EXOSKYN, the 3D-printed sneaker concept developed in collaboration with KORUX. This publication adds to those in Yanko Design, 3D Print, Blog Esprit Design and 3D Printing Industry.

Trendhunter is not a design magazine in the classical sense. It is an emerging trend identification platform. Its role: to spot what is beginning to shift, what signals a possible displacement, what could become a structuring movement.

Trendhunter: Cultural Validation

Previous publications validated EXOSKYN from different angles. Yanko Design validated the formal and conceptual interest. 3D Print and 3D Printing Industry validated technical feasibility. Blog Esprit Design validated the relevance within French design debate.

Trendhunter validates something else: the inscription of EXOSKYN within an emerging trend. Not an isolated project, but a signal of a broader movement: the convergence between design, biomechanics, additive manufacturing and digital personalization of wearable objects.

What This Means for the Design Approach

A project that is identified as a trend signal is a project that has managed to be in the right place at the right time — but not by chance. It has managed to formulate something that was “in the air” with sufficient precision and rigor to make it visible, nameable, discussable.

This is what EXOSKYN does: it makes visible a direction that 3D printing, biomimetics and footwear design were all heading toward, but had not yet brought together in a single coherent object.
