“Can you create something that honors my roots?”

The request came from a client who had been living abroad for years. He was looking for a portable, everyday object that would maintain a tangible connection with Morocco. Not a tourist souvenir. Not a wall decoration. An object he could carry close to his body.

The dromedary emerged as the motif — not as a decorative animal, but as an operative symbol: resilience, endurance, the ability to cross distances while keeping what matters. This choice was not arbitrary. It corresponded exactly to the experience of expatriation: maintaining a connection with one’s origin while living elsewhere.

Craft: Materials and Details

Each element of the jewel was sculpted to carry a precise meaning.

Golden crown. It evokes the nobility of the territory — not in the monarchical sense, but in the sense of cultural dignity. Gold as a material that withstands time without degrading, as a symbol of what endures.

Blue enamel. The color of the Atlantic, the color of Essaouira’s shutters and doors, the color of Moroccan textiles. Not a random aesthetic choice. A material memory of a specific territory.

Sculpted details. The dromedary’s back, the texture of its coat, the proportions of its head — each element was worked with precision so that the piece holds meaning at every scale of observation: from a distance, up close, in the hand.
