The “Modupod” project was conceived to redefine seating with a bold, modular aesthetic that combines comfort and structural ingenuity. The challenge was to create a visually striking chair that offers ergonomic support while being adaptable to various interior settings, using innovative materials and assembly techniques.

Drawing on my skills in industrial design and engineering, I designed the Modupod with a sculptural form inspired by organic shapes. The cushioned components, upholstered in a durable fabric, are strategically layered and secured with tension bands for both stability and a unique visual effect. The internal frame, hinted by the yellow and brown accents, was engineered to distribute weight evenly, with prototypes tested to ensure comfort and durability. The modular design allows for customizable configurations, blending craftsmanship with functional innovation.

The “Modupod” chair stands out with its playful yet sophisticated silhouette, featuring a taupe finish accented by vibrant bands that add a pop of color and personality.
